This may not make it to you in time being the video is older. But i was unaware of this standard of 6 to 8 months before expiration when traveling. Ma'am I am a green card holder but i travel here in Philippines together with my american citizen and he is a minor we travel here last 2019 may 3rd and i supposed to comeback in US july 5 2019 but suddenly june 2019 i was sick very bad and i didnt able to go back as my returning date and last 2020 and 2021 it was lock down here in Philippines totally and 2022 my passport was expired and i have to renew it and also the American passport of my son was expired too and that time 2022 also is not in normal yet everything is online process and again i was so sick till 2023 i supposed to have everything beside the only thing have to get done my sons American passport done but suddenly our house hit by the fire añl our neighbors too and my documents to travel burned too and i have left copy of my un expired green card and ssn in my phone but i have my new passport with me now and just wanted to ask do you think that i can still be. I have a US Green Card and a Canada PR Card...I plan to stay 6.5 months per year in the US and 5.5 months per year in canada to maintain both..I had to travel to india this year for some personal work and ended up staying 3 months instead of 1 month that has thrown my plan out of whack. This year from Jan 1st I've been able to be in the US for only 3 days ( 25 days in Jan and 10 days in May) and plan to go back on 1st Sep from Canada so 4 months till 31st Dec. shouyld that be alright to maintain my green card? Alos I plan to cross the land border in Sep and fly when entering the US.. what d you advise?

I passed my test. I got a letter that I will do my old ceremony schedule, but I have not gotten the letter for the oat swearing in and where to go. My question is approximately how long does it take for them to send a letter and if I don’t get a letter, what can I do?

You can now renew a passport online but only routine processing is available. Photo needs to be 600x600 or higher and no more than 10 megabytes but no smaller than 54 kilobytes. Photo also needs to have a white or off white background and not be digitally altered (ie have the background keyed out). No name and/or gender changes can be done using the online renewal system. You must be 25 or older to renew online and the passport has to be issued from 2009 to 2015. Only a limited amount of online renewals are available starting from 1 pm est on weekdays until slots run out for the day. Your previous passport will be deactivated so you cannot travel with it until you get your new passport.

Online Passport renewals are back! State department will be launching a new beta online passport renewal system similar to the old one where you can renew online and upload a digital photo of your choice. Only routine processing will be available at this time and your old passport will be deactivated, so you cannot travel with it while waiting for an online renewal. If you need faster service you can renew by mail using form DS-82 or get an appointment at the state department agencies. Photos are going to be different as you can now send them a 600x600 or higher photo with a file size of 54 kb but no bigger than 10mb. Use a white or off white background. Only color photos are accepted (no black and white photos). No glasses or hats are allowed but head coverings are allowed for religious reasons. Oh and no filters or using digital tools to key out the background. Allow room in the photo so you can use their crop tool. Other than that the process is similar to this video.
